Hi Alexandra,
I thought one of our contributors had done a feature on this organization but I didn’t find it in a search. I will run it by everyone and we will follow up with a feature if we have not already. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
I am Lenna’s foster mom and am reaching out hoping to finally find financial help and a great home for this sweet girl. Below are links to updates of her story as we continue to seek treatment and find out more about her condition. I’ve also included a link to pictures ranging from when we first brought her home up till now. Unfortunately, TLC Animal Organization is not receiving the donations they need to continue her care and AREA (Advocacy for the Respect of all Earth’s Animals) has not yet been declared a non-profit organization in order to raise the funds.

Lenna – Through the Months
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2690972644183.2137652.1552525792&type=3
How her story began:
Lenna is a beautiful blue torbie that was found in a shelter as part of an abandoned litter. Their mother was nowhere to be found and while the others were thriving, Lenna was not doing so well. Her littermates were bullying her, not allowing her to get to the food bowl, and even attacking her. Luckily, there were volunteers in the room who saw this and jumped to action. I took her home to help get her healthy. It soon became apparent that being malnourished and emaciated were not her only problems. We asked the shelter to have a vet look at her, but they refused telling us to bring her back in to be euthanized. We refused to let this sweet girl come to that end. We took her to the vet ourselves to find out that eye infections had caused corneal lesions leaving her with a slight sight impairment. Also, due to the malnutrition her hip joint never fully developed. They had suggested her leg be amputated at the hip in order to make her more comfortable as her hip frequently pops in and out of place when she walks. Luckily, TLC has accepted this sweet girl under their wing. Despite her setbacks, Lenna is a very well-adjusted little girl! She is shy at first, but once she knows she can trust you she is the sweetest little thing who loves to cuddle and purr! She enjoys playing with a laser toy and can entertain herself batting toy mice or chasing balls. She gets along well with dogs and cats both, but really prefers a calm setting where other animals are not trying to play rough with her. She can climb and jump almost as well as other kittens her age and enjoys perching on a cat tree where she can watch the birds eating outside the window. Please consider giving this very special girl a forever home, or donating to her care at http://www.tlcpaws.org.
