It’s one of those mornings. Only the dregs of yesterday’s coffee remain and one lonely bagel. Not even a smidgen of cream cheese lurks beside the emptied take out cartons filling the second shelf of the refrigerator that just haven’t quite made their way to the bin. At the very least, there is enough sustenance to get that morning report off before responding to the myriad of emails racked up overnight.
You realize you are barely going to scrape by on the paltry bit of nutrition remaining in your house in the hopes of making it to lunchtime when someone else decides they need that bagel more then you. And this happens.
