As it says on her TNR Facebook page, “Sheri is a woman on a mission! One to humanely control Shreveport’s feral cat population through TNR and has been successful beyond everyone’s dreams!”

Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs not only bring health benefits to feral cat populations, but also to the community-at-large.  By providing vaccinations, spaying and neutering, feral cat colonies have the opportunity to stabilize. Sheri Lynn has had incredible success in trapping and while the medical costs do add up and the need for donations and support considerable, her good work results in reduced stress and behavioral issues for the cats, as well as a reduced feline population. In fact, her good work has resulted in some 1100 cats over the past two years going through her program.

Sheri is also don a new poject that will bring feral cats to area businesses to help control rodent issues.  There has been great success with programs of this nature, such as providing resident cats to breweries, that have seen tremendous results via feral-to-farm programs.  Sheri is eager to see it happen in Shreveport, as well.
