Not many people would do what Lisa Jones has done for Zeke. But this seeing this special needs kitten’s spunky spirit is all the reward she needs.

Zeke was born with hydrocephalus, a disorder that results in a build up of fluid in the brain. It affects people, as well as dogs and cats. Zeke also has twisted feet, and was a candidate for euthanasia at the Texas shelter where Jones found him, according to a report by Nicole Moore of the Holidog Times.

When Lisa Jones heard Zeke’s story, she flew to Texas from New Jersey and brought him back with her. Jones cares for several other disabled cats, and  runs a non-profit called Super Hero Hydro Society, named after, Super Hero, her first cat with the disorder.

  1. We had Bunny for 12 years. She had chronic diarrhea from birth. Nothing we tried would stop it. We finally made her an outdoor cat. She never got bigger than a 4 month old, yet was the best mouser(and gopher catcher) I’ve ever seen. We realized that when she was catching and eating fresh meat the diarrhea almost stopped. But when we fed her the so-called fresh raw meat it didn’t help at all. She spent her life entertaining us and her last 2 years she had a special scrub jay friend. They played all the time. I live alone so I use the master bathroom for my cat’s sick room. She spent her last 3 month with me, but it turned out she had colon cancer .. She was probably the most loving cat my brother and I have had in our entire lives. If I can figure out how to do it, I will send a picture of her later.
