Paws Crosssed out of Elmsford, NY, shares this wonderful story about Carmel, the Charming Church Cat!

When the people at Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains, New York sat down for dinner one night, they had no idea what was in store for them.  During the course of the evening, a piece of bread had dropped on the floor.  When they went to pick it up, they noticed a bite had been taken out of it.  Upon searching the building, they found Carmel, a shy, but very friendly, tabby who was severely malnourished.

“When Carmel was brought to us, he was starving and emaciated.  You could see the defined outline of his hip bones and rib cage,” said Jennifer Angelucci, President/CEO of Paws Crossed. “Now, after much love and lots of nourishing meals with us, Carmel is a healthy, loving boy!”.

And here is the best part of the story:

UPDATE: Carmel was adopted on January 22, 2017. Congratulations, Carmel, and your new forever family.

While Carmel has been adopted, Paws Crossed is always in need of those folks seeking to ADOPT, VOLUNTEER or DONATE.  Please visit their website at www.pawscrossedny.org and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pawscrossed.   Thank you once again!
