Buddha and Merlin of Furball Fables fame, enjoy a little mental stimulation.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Keeping your cats mentally and physically active is great for their health. And spending time with them, sharing in these activities, is a wonderful way to bond for you and your kitty, too

Petcoach has shared 9 ways to mentally stimulate your cat, with these fun ideas:

Interactive Toys – Something that will engage your furry friend, especially when you are gone

Puzzle Treat Dispensers – Having to work to get a goodie will keep the mind active

A Feline Friend – No batteries required and it comes with extra love

Cardboard Boxes and Paper Bags – No explanation needed for this one

Cat videos – Nature-based, these will certainly grab attention

View From a Window – Nothing like watching the world go by, especially if there is a birdfeeder or butterfly garden near by

Homemade Agility Course – Think tunnels, boxes, furniture, and don’t forget the toy on a string as a lure

Leash Training – Let kitty have fun outside while staying safe

 Petcoach says:

Given that cats sleep around 15 hours per day, it’s important to make sure you keep your feline companion active while awake. Mentally stimulating your cat’s brain is the first step to ensure a happy, healthy and long life. So, follow the previous tips to get your feline off the sofa and in the game!

Check out the entire Petcoach article for more great information.

Of course, our friends at Furball Fables have come up with a way to combine several of these into a single video for both you and your cat’s mental stimulation. Thanks, guys!
