It’s the bottom of the fourth and the game between the Los Angeles Angels and the St. Louis Cardinals is tight. Tensions are high when suddenly an completely unexpected play takes over the field. Suddenly, an orange tabby races across the infield, throwing everyone for a loop. The cat was caught by an Angel’s staff member who seemed to be able to calm him down quickly much to the appreciation of all who witnessed the event.
The good news is that the Angels worked with a local animal rescue group, that requested to remain anonymous, to find a home for the kitty dubbed “Rally Cat II,” and ode to Rally Cat who was seen on the scoreboard in May of 2014 to urge the Angels at the bottom of the ninth to a come back win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Unfortunately, in spite of his appearance on the scoreboard at the bottom of the ninth, Rally Cat II didn’t have the same affect, the Angels losing, in the end, to the Cardinals.
