Firefighters rescue cat from devastating fire

A Hillsborough Township, New Jersey woman whose house was destroyed by fire Sunday was reunited with her cat thanks to firefighters who rescued him.

Hillsborough Fire Co. #3 – Station 38 shared news of the fire and cat rescue to Facebook Sunday, posting series of dramatic photos, and writing: The Hillsborough Fire District responded to a structure fire on Bigley Rd this afternoon. Upon arrival, the rear of the house and attic were on fire. After a roof collapse, firefighters were forced to evacuate the building. Congratulations to our Lieutenant Tom Marvits for rescuing the family cat.

Commenters at Facebook thanks firefighters for rescuing the cat and for preventing the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
