A Kansas kitty is back home after a stowaway trip to Hawaii.

The calico cat is shop mascot at A-1 Scaffold Manufacturing in Hays, and has been a part of the staff there for years.

She disappeared earlier this month when, unbeknownst to her friends, she snuck into a truck and made a two week trip to Hawaii in a shipping container, along with a shipment.

She was discovered in Hawaii when someone heard her meows.

Kitty was dehydrated but otherwise ok, and returned home after a few days of rest and recuperation in Hawaii.

Dixon Hannon picked kitty up at Eisenhower airport in Wichita and spoke with KWCH12 News.

Dixon says kitty is very curious but will not get another chance to travel again. He said everyone missed her while she was gone and they are all very happy to have her back again.

It’s a bit difficult to hear on the video, but it sounds like Dixon says kitty’s name is Christmas Katie.
