Charlie went missing from his Stubbington, Hampshire UK home over 6 years ago when he was 9 years old, and as time passed Jo and Ade Haigh did not expect to see him again. Jo works as a receptionist at Stubbington Ark animal shelter. When Charlie disappeared she put up posters, contacted local vets, and would have known if someone had brought him to the shelter or called about a found cat.
Jo has since moved from the house that Charlie called home but was back walking around in the neighborhood recently with her sister and mum, to view a property one of the women is interested in buying. Jo told the Portsmouth News, “We saw this cat on a wall and I was immediately 99.9 per cent sure it was Charlie. We went and spoke to the man at that house and he told me he’d been feeding this cat for about two and a half years.” a microchip scan at Subbington Ark confirmed that the cat was Charlie. He is now back with his family and their three other cats and three dogs, at their nearby Titchfield Common home.
Charlie, who lived with the Haighs from the time he was a 7 week old kitten, is settling back in with his family.
