Free Kibble to Help Animals Impacted by Irene
Many of us are familiar with Free Kibble (www.freekibble.com and www.freekibblekat.com), the sites on which answering a trivia question (correctly or incorrectly) equals ten free pieces of kibble donated to animal shelters. It may not sound like a lot, but those ten pieces add up quickly. In fact, according to the Free Kibblekat site, they have served over 6,093,893 meals to hungry dogs and cats living in shelters.
Today only (Thursday, September 8th), Free Kibble and Free Kibblekat are donating all kibble raised to animal relief efforts in North Carolina and Vermont. As we’ve been reporting here on Life With Cats, hundreds of animals were impacted by Hurricane Irene and relief is sorely needed. In addition, if the kibble number of hits one million, HALO, Purely for Pets will double the donation!
All donations will be directed to two organizations: Central Vermont Humane Society and NC Animal Protection Society, who will further distribute the food to other animal welfare groups in need. The goal is to raise more than 10,000 meals and it is possible with your help!
